My focus is nutritional care services for infants, children and adolescents.

Please note: I do not see patients with diagnosed eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

Individual consultation is the most tailored and specific approach for your child and family. 

The first visit is referred to as an "initial consult". This is our first meeting. 

During the initial consult, up to 60 min in duration, following a review of family nutrition concerns and goals, a complete nutritional assessment is conducted. A nutritional assessment includes a review of nutritional needs based on age, medical history, problem history, birth story, allergies, medications, supplements/vitamins, anthropometrics, food history, feeding dynamics and any relevant medical investigations. 

Using a patient- and family-centered care approach, I then provide specific nutrition recommendations based on relevant, evidence - based medical and nutritional information.

Following the initial consult, most patients and families benefit from additional "follow up" sessions. These sessions are shorted in duration, and can be up to 45 minutes in length.

Follow up sessions allow an opportunity to assess progress, as well as refine recommendations to best suit a growing and developing child. Some follow up sessions can be conducted in person, if deemed clinically pertinent, and is accessible to family. 

Timing for follow up sessions is recommended as clinically indicated, to support best outcomes. The family chooses whether they would like to book a follow up, or not. 

 - My services are limited to patients aged from birth - 19 years of age.  - Individual consultation is only offered to BC residents.

Booking dates and times are limited to Wednesday and Thursday, between 10-2pm. Exceptions may be granted- please inquire.

Before our first session

It is strongly encouraged that you complete and submit all provided paperwork as well as supply any relevant documents, test results, and/or medical investigations.  This ensures maximum benefit from each session.

Our first session

I will review nutrition concerns and goals. A complete nutritional assessment is conducted. The patient must be available for this session.

A nutritional assessment includes a review of nutritional needs based on age, medical history, problem history, birth story, allergies, medications, supplements/vitamins, anthropometrics, food history, feeding dynamics and any relevant medical investigations.

*An initial consult may span more than one session depending on the complexity of the child and/or the level of discussion. The number of consult remains - meaning an initial consult spanning two sessions, counts as two sessions from the four. 

Follow up sessions

Follow up sessions may be recommended as clinically indicated. The family chooses whether they would like to book a follow up, or not. 

We will discuss and review concerns, progress, an assessment and plan will be provided.  

A clinical summary encompassing all relevant information from each session, assessment and plan is maintained for confidential records. A completed note can be provided to family for an additional fee, upon request.

Cost per session:

Initial session (up to 60 minute duration): 245$ 

Follow up session (up to 45 minute duration): 225$ 

Some extended health plans cover dietitian services up to a certain amount. Check your individual policy for details. Direct billing is not offered. 

In order to secure a first booking, a credit card be charged a 100 $ non-refundable fee. This fee can be applied towards future service (booked within a one year time frame).

Rescheduling/ Cancellation: It is the Client’s responsibility to notify one (1) day in advance of the scheduled appointment if they have a conflict or cannot make it to the scheduled session.   Unexpected issues come up - please email [email protected] to cancel or reschedule if within the 24 hour window. 

Late policy:  An appointment to which the client is more than 15 minutes late, without prior notice, is forfeited. In addition, the credit card on file will be charged the full appointment fee. 

Missed appointment: An appointment that is missed by the client, without prior notice, is forfeited.  In addition, the credit card on file will be charged the full appointment fee.

Telehealth appointments: If any attendees are operating a moving vehicle during a telehealth session, the appointment will be terminated, considered forfeited, and the credit card on file will be charged the full appointment fee.
